Terms of Service

General

  • I accept payments in USD and EUR (EUR preferred), via PayPal only!
  • Payment is 30% upfront, 70% after sketch
    • 100% upfront is also acceptable.
  • All commissions are digital.
  • I will deliver a PNG file:
    • If you want another format, please inform me in advance
    • A "full files" package — PSD, Procreate, Krita or Affinity files, depending on what I used — is available at an additional fee
  • I can decline commission requests without any reason given

Commission description

  • Please include reference images in the commission description, especially for pose and clothes. More details means smoother work! Even a quick drawing is good, even if you can't draw well.
    • Video references will not be accepted.
    • genAI images are not good references as they often have many incoherences. Please refrain from using these.
  • No vague drawing prompts, please be specific and descriptive.

Process

  1. After you send your request, we will talk about the finer details of the commission, and I will give you a price quote.
  2. Once we agree on the commission details, I'll invoice you via PayPal.
    • I will not start working until the invoice is paid!
  3. When the sketch is ready, I will send it so you can submit your feedback
    • I will completely redo the sketch once if needed, or do small tweaks up to 2 times.
    • If you need more retakes or tweaks, you will be charged an additional fee!
  4. After you validate the sketch, I will invoice you the rest of the commission price.
    • Work will only start when that invoice is paid.
  5. When ready, I'll send you the final image!
    • I will do my best to keep to the sketch, however some details may be slightly different.
    • At that point only minor changes can be requested, and they may be accepted at my discretion.
    • There will be only one round of tweaks at that stage, if needed.
    • When I deliver a commission, I consider it finished. Any further change will require paying an additional fee, and I may decline change requests without any reason given.

I will typically deliver a sketch within 1 week of accepting a commission, then a colored version after another week. I personally aim for less than 2 weeks between each phase, but if something happens and I am forced to delay a commission, I will notify you.

"Skeb"-style commissions

All the above still apply, with the following changes:

  • This commission style will have no retakes, no tweaks, and will generally be cheaper.
  • After we agree on the commission content, you will have to pay 100% upfront before I start working on it.
  • You cannot add any details to the commission after I started, the original description is final and I will not take into account any message sent after the original agreement.
  • When I am done, I will directly send you the final files, and I will not accept any tweak or retake request, so please make sure the description is detailed enough!

I will typically deliver this kind of commission within 2 weeks and I will notify you in case I am forced to delay the commission.

Cancellations and refunds

  • If you cancel the commission within 48 hours of paying the first invoice, you will be refunded entirely.
  • If I already sent you a sketch, you will be refunded 70% of the full price.
    • In other words, you will only be refunded 70% if you paid in full, and nothing if you paid with the 30/70% split.
  • No refund after paying the second invoice.
  • In the case of "Skeb"-style commission, there will be no refund after the initial 48 hours.

Rights

By default, all commissions are for personal, non-commercial use:

  • You may reupload your commission on any website or online gallery as long as you link back to me and credit me as the artist,
  • You cannot resell your commission,
  • You may use the artwork for non-commercial use (profile picture, header...), including personal merch (printing on a cup, shirt, mousepad) as long it is for your personal use only.
  • I retain the rights to the image and can upload it myself, including intermediate products (sketches etc).
    • You can still ask for a private commission which I'll do my best to honor!

Commercial use

  • You may not use the artwork for commercial use without my authorization first. This includes printing and making merch for resale purposes, using as an album cover, as a videogame asset, etc.
  • If you want to use your commission for commercial use, please contact me so we can work on a quote.

Alterations

  • You are not allowed to edit, trace or alter the commission. You can crop it to use as a banner, a profile picture, an emoji on Discord or similar uses.
  • Do not remove my signature under any circumstance, except for cases listed in the previous point.

Big no-nos

  • You may not create an NFT from the commission,
  • You may not use the commission for training generative AI,
  • You may not alter the commission using generative AI,
  • You may not "restyle" the commission using generative AI.

In short: do not use my art with generative AI or cryptocurrencies.
